Individual Tax Preparation

Your federal and state returns prepared by a preparer who reads your documents, asks the questions that matter, and reviews the result before it is filed.

What this covers

We prepare individual returns across a wide range of situations: employment income, self-employment and gig work, rental property, investment activity, retirement distributions, education costs, and household changes such as marriage, a new child or a move between states.

Preparation starts with a document checklist built for your circumstances rather than a generic list. Once your documents are in, a preparer builds the return, raises anything ambiguous with you directly, and a second preparer reviews it before you are asked to sign.

If your situation reaches back into earlier years, or a filed return needs correcting, we can handle those alongside the current year rather than sending you elsewhere.

Returns involving multiple states, foreign income or significant investment activity take longer to prepare. We will tell you at intake if your return falls into that group.

Usually a good fit if

  • You are filing a personal federal return, with or without state returns
  • You have self-employment, contract or gig income to report
  • You own rental property or have investment activity to reconcile
  • You moved between states or worked in more than one state during the year
  • Your household changed — marriage, a child, a dependent, a separation
